Carter Family Fold
The Fold, located in Hiltons, VA, is the homestead of country music legends: The Carter Family. Enjoy good, old-fashion, foot-stomping bluegrass every Saturday night and during the Carter Family Memorial Music
Festival the first weekend in August.
Virginia's Heritage Music Trail: The Crooked Road
This 250-mile driving trail winds through the southwest Virginia countryside. Bristol is one of the seven major music hubs along the way. The trail includes some of the most significant sites in the history of American country music. Each venue gives the visitor a chance to enjoy the sounds of the area including Bristol TN/VA, the birthplace of country music.
